Information on Ghosts:

Ghosts are trapped, restless or vengeful spirits of the deceased who have not moved on. There are several types of Ghosts.

Types that are known about by the party are marked with an "X".

X	Poltergeists	Poltergeists are a type of spirit that seek recognition and attention, and will do anything to receive it. However, a Poltergeist is not a human spirit; it is a separate being of its own. Therefore, burning their remains is ineffective (and impossible). However, some hunters claims that poltergeists can be destroyed the same way a normal hunter would deal with any other ghost, salting and burning the remains. This would mean Poltergeist were once human like ghosts were too. And a possible explanation to this paradox, is that Poltergeists are separate beings, but human spirits can become Poltergeists. Their whole biology/make-up solely encompasses receiving attention, they are always invisible, and do not appear able to become visible. When in a state of distress, they're strong enough to bench press a piano, they can also be quite powerful, including but not limited to, conducting multiple telekinetic attacks, in different areas of the house it's haunting simultaneously. These attacks can be very powerful telekinetic displays of power, even able to throw grown men around like rag dolls. They are sometimes attracted to places where beings of great evil (such as powerful demons) manifested.	Salt repels, Iron repels. A House Purification Ritual can destroy a Poltergeist as long as it's not too powerful. Otherwise it will just wounded it.

X	Vengeful Spirits	These types of are are ones who have had some great wrong done to them in their lives (normally what killed them), this causes them to remain after death, to try and avenge this wrong. Overtime they slowly become obsessed with this until it is the only thing they can think of. As such they act violently to try and avenge the wrong, however in the process, their obsession with revenge often leads to them harming innocent people. Sometimes their vengeance can spread on to others, who had nothing to do with them, but have or are doing something that is similar to their death. It is possible, that once they are avenged that they pass on, however often they are unable to cause this. Occasionally, they're people who are still alive, but on the verge of death. Powerful Vengeful Spirits are even capable of Ghost Possession. This is where they can enter a living person and control the body until expelled or they choose to leave. One "crude" method of expelling a Vengeful Spirit from a host is by hitting the host with a rock salt shotgun round. The slightly penetrative blast of salt is enough to expel the ghost while only causing minor injuries to the host. Forcing the host to consume large quantities of salt can also cause the spirit to expel the host body.	Salt repels, Iron repels. Vengeful Spirits cannot step onto Holy ground, typically, without being destroyed. To kill a Vengeful Spirit you must find the body, salt and burn it. If the body is all ready burned then the spirit is possessing an object. Salt and burn the object.
X	Violent Spirits	Unlike Vengeful Spirits, who are the ghosts of those who have some wrong done to them in their life, Violent spirits are usually the ghosts of evil or cruel people (or at least had something wrong with them), who in their lives brought pain and suffering to others, and in their deaths continue to do so. Due to this Violent spirits are normally among the strongest type of ghosts, and possess great powers. As such, Violent Spirits are the most dangerous type, as they are motivated by cruelty rather than vengeance or attention seeking.	Salt repels, Iron repels. Violent Spirits cannot step onto Holy ground, typically, without being destroyed. To kill a Vengeful Spirit you must find the body, salt and burn it. If the body is all ready burned then the spirit is possessing an object. Salt and burn the object.
X	Woman in White	A Woman in White is a type of ghost or spirit, a supernatural creature, that commonly kidnaps men or even children, after suffering from love issues and committing suicide when alive. They have existed for centuries, and have appeared in Hawaii, Mexico, and the United States, as well. They are ghosts of deceased beautiful women, who wear white dresses and kidnap people they interact with. When they were alive, they all had children and, when they suffered from a temporal alienation after being rejected or being deceived by the men they loved, they drowned them. Then, they commit suicide and, subsequently, they must spend the rest of eternity on Earth looking for their children, crying and suffering, until they find them. They roam in rivers and roads, and when they find a man who cheats, they kill them and the men are never seen again. They get angry when someone does not want to obey them, so they attack them while taking their true form. Their true form bears resemblance to a corpse, grey skin, sunken eyes and no lips. Also their hands become claw-like in this form.	Salt repels, Iron repels. A Women in White cannot step onto Holy ground, typically, without being destroyed. To kill a Women in White you must find the body, salt and burn it.
